Ashton Villa

The extremely wealthy eccentric Betty Brownâ€™s spirit is forever roaming the elegant halls of Ashton Villa. Many have seen Betty wearing a turquoise dress and carrying a fan during lavish event held at the mansion. Even death canâ€™t keep Betty from being the life of the partyâ€¦and scare the guests half to death.

Sealy Mansion (Open Gates)

John Sealy wanted to the best for his family so, we decided to build them the largest and most lavish house on the Island. The children play room was in the attic and had a Broadway stage. To this day the children continue to perform for anyone brave enough to witness the stage doors opening and closing by themselves. Magnolia Sealy, the head of the household is seen wandering the halls too shy to speak with visitors.

While my favorite part of the tour was the black cat, the whole tour was fun! I appreciate Michael, who overcame the distraction of all of the Motorcycles, and his sense of humor. He did a great job. It was fun and I would do other tours that are offered just not during the bike rally! thank you!

My boyfriend and I took the ghost tour of Galveston on August 26, Noelle was our tour guide. She did an awesome job giving us the dark paranormal history of each location, we even had the opportunity to tour the inside of one of the mansions. My favorite location was the Ashton Villa, loved the story about Bette, lavish lifestyle and US Army General Gordon Granger, announcing in 1863 the Emancipation Proclamation was in effect. Thanks Noelle for making the tour exciting and informative.

My family truly enjoyed hearing the dark secrets and creepy stories about Galveston! Our tour guide, Michael, was very entertaining while also being extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed every moment!

The historical background was interesting. The walk was reasonable. Microphone would have been helpful at times where it was difficult to hear over traffic. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Went in a group of 6 adults and teens .. the kids did not like it so much do to not being scary. The person that gave the stories was pretty Good but Not scary At all and would have loved to know a little bit more about Galveston’s Ghost stories.

Since I moved to Galveston 2 years ago, I always love learning more and more of the history of Galveston! Benny did a wonderful job of highlighting the history that feeds the paranormal activity in this area. Will definitely be recommending Galveston Island Ghost Tour to people!
